Kirk Dewease Joins the No. 99M Team in 2024

Wellsville, Pa. (February 23, 2024) – This weekend marks the start of the 2024 Sprint Car season in Central Pennsylvania. The Ice Breaker at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pa., will be a two-day show (February 24 and 25) for the second time in track history. Kyle Moody and the Moody Motorsports team are ready to tackle the 3/8-mile track and are looking for Moody’s first Ice Breaker win of his career and his sixth win at the track.

Moody and the team would like to officially welcome Kirk Dewease as the new Crew Chief for the Moody Motorsports team. The Dewease name is nationally known throughout the Sprint Car world, not only for the success that Kirk’s brother, Lance, has had as a driver but also for the success that Kirk has had throughout his career turning wrenches. Dewease has worked with many notable drivers, such as Jac Haudenschild, Jeff Swindell, and Tyler Walker, and has won prestigious races such as the Kings Royal at Eldora Speedway in 2011 with Walker.

“I’m excited to work with Kyle and the team to create a long-lasting partnership,” said Dewease. “I already feel very comfortable in my new role over the last couple of weeks, and I’m ready to help build the team up to its potential. We have goals for the season, and by combining the experience that Kyle has behind the wheel with my experience, I’m confident we can achieve those goals.”

The Moody Motorsports team is happy to welcome back its major sponsors for the 2024 season. Dynatech Controls, Pigeon Hill Designs, Credit Connection Auto Sales, Kint Beverage Concepts and Fire Protection, and Memtec Services are a few of the long-term sponsors that continue supporting Moody on and off the track each year.

“We have been very fortunate to have the support that we do with our sponsors,” said Moody. “We couldn’t do this without them, and it’s because of them we can add someone like Kirk to our team. Kirk has an impressive resume behind him, and I’m excited to work with him and build our team even stronger.”

Moody Motorsports Invests in 2022 Season and Beyond
Welcomes Kyle Pruitt to the No. 99M Team

Wellsville, Pa. (February 19, 2022) – Pennsylvania's 2022 410 racing season is just one week away, starting with the Icebreaker 30 at Lincoln Speedway on Saturday, February 26. Kyle Moody and the Moody Motorsports team have been busy making their final preparations for the season debut.

The team is coming off a 70-race season in 2021 with Top-10 points finishes at Williams Grove Speedway and Lincoln Speedway. Moody also competed in all of the Pennsylvania Speedweek races in 2021. A goal he admittedly couldn’t have accomplished without the continued support of his sponsors and the support of fans purchasing merchandise.

Moody Motorsports is set to compete in another full season with an 85-race schedule for 2022. The driver of the No. 99M is happy to welcome back all of the team’s major sponsors this season, a testament to the team’s solid foundation and the relationships Moody has cultivated over his career.

One milestone that Moody and the team are looking forward to highlighting this season is with longtime sponsor, Dynatech Controls. Dynatech and owner Mark Myers will celebrate 30 years of business in 2022, which Moody hopes to celebrate with Myers and the company on and off the track this season.

Moody Hires Former Sprint Car Driver, Kyle Pruitt

Moody and the team would like to officially welcome Kyle Pruitt as a full-time member of the Moody Motorsport team. Pruitt is no stranger to the Pennsylvania Sprint Car scene as a former driver and team owner in the area. He also brings valuable experience managing teams and serving as a crew chief for 360 and 410 traveling sprint car teams over the last three years.

“I’m happy to have Kyle (Pruitt) with us for the 2022 season,” said Moody. “We worked together for the last two races of the season last year, and I felt that we had good communication and a sense of trust. As my role continues to grow at Memtec Services, I needed someone to help manage the team and have someone in place to ensure everything is ready to go when we show up at the track each week. It’s been great having him at the shop over the off-season so that it will truly be a fresh start as we head into 2022.”

“I’m looking forward to working with Kyle (Moody) this season and continuing to build on the team’s program,” said Pruitt. “With his experience and ability, I believe that we will do well and can accomplish a lot. Our level of communication and understanding of each other is heightened because I can relate to the way the car feels and things happening on the track.”

Fans can stay connected by following Moody Motorsports on Twitter at @MoodyMotorsport and Facebook at @MoodyMotorsports99. For official team news and merchandise, head to MoodyMotorsports.com.

Moody Motorsports would like to thank Dynatech Controls, Pigeon Hill Designs, Kint Beverage Concepts and Fire Protection, Memtec Services, Alloy Wheel Repair, Hampden Automotive, Meckley Contracting Service, Credit Connection, SYKD Hunt, Capitol Tool, Travis’s Outdoor Services, Drop of Ink Tattoo and Body Piercing, Champion Race Oil, Newman’s Racing Engines, Don Ott Racing Engines, Rider Racing Engines, Bell Helmets, K1 Racegear, DMI, Lakeside Apparel & Graphics Co. and FK Indy for their continued support.

Moody Motorsports Welcomes New Sponsor, Prepares for Grueling Summer Schedule

Lewisberry, Pa. (June 2, 2021) – Kyle Moody and the Moody Motorsports team are SYKD to announce a new partnership with SYKD Hunt, a brand completely dedicated to hunting. SYKD offers products that are made to perform well above its price tag, setting hunters up for success in the field. SYKD products will be available to hunters by the end of the summer, but the SYKD logo can be found on the No. 99M beginning Thursday, June 3rd at BAPS Motor Speedway.

“We’re at the perfect point for our team to welcome SYKD on board,” said Moody, driver and owner of the Moody Motorsports No. 99M. “We’ve been very focused on growing our team and our brand, so starting our partnership with SYKD so close to their launch provides some great opportunities for us to grow our brands together.

“My wife, Brittany, and I are both hunters, our families hunt and love being outdoors, so it’s pretty cool to have a company like SYKD come on board for the season.”

To SYKD, hunting is more than a hobby; it’s a lifestyle, just like racing is more than a hobby for Moody and the team. It’s a lifestyle that will see the team compete in more than 25 races in June and July.

Moody looks forward to the summer schedule, “So far this year, we’ve had our good nights and our bad nights. I’m looking forward to building some consistency over the next few months. The summer schedule here in PA can be pretty grueling, but it also gives us a chance to get out there and race as much as possible and learn as much as we can.

“I’ve been extremely fortunate throughout my career to have great sponsors that have stuck with me through it all. I couldn’t live this dream and compete with the best racers in the country without them, especially during these summer months.

Moody Motorsports Uses Off-Season to Restructure for 2021 Season and Beyond

Lewisberry, Pa. (January 30, 2021) – For Kyle Moody and the Moody Motorsports team, 2020 was admittedly a tough season marred by the COVID-19 pandemic, a concussion, and more carnage in one season than the team had ever experienced. Despite these setbacks, 2020 still had bright moments, including a strong Pennsylvania Speedweeks showing, a Top-10 finish in The Dirt Classic at Lincoln Speedway, and a total of 59 positions gained from starting positions in feature events this past year. With almost all of the team’s inventory exhausted towards the end of the season, Moody and the team persevered to finish the season with just one car and still competed in over 60 races.

As soon as the 2020 season came to a close, Moody began an extensive restructuring. The acquisition of another 410 sprint car team allowed him to rebuild his inventory. The team will head into the 2021 season with new cars, a different shock manufacturer, new components, and a fourth 410 sprint car engine. Moody also invested in a new truck to get the team to and from the racetrack, which will also give the team the possibility to travel in the future.

Equipment isn’t the only thing that was added to the Moody Motorsports stable over the off-season. Dalton Minovich and Patrick Dudzinski will join Moody’s current crew for 2021. Dudzinski is a familiar face to the No. 99M team, where he got his start in sprint car racing. He’s returning to Pennsylvania after several years of traveling on the World of Outlaws circuit. Moody hired Minovich as a full-time employee of Moody Motorsports. Minovich is a new face to Moody Motorsports but is a familiar name around the track with several years of experience in the pit area.

Moody is also happy to announce some new additions to the sponsor line-up for 2021 with Credit Connection Auto Sales and Freedom Off-Road. Credit Connection has four locations in York (creditconnectionyrk.com), Harrisburg (creditconnectionhbg.com), Dover (creditconnectiondover.com), and Carlisle (creditconnectioncarlisle.com). Customers can also visit each location’s website to view inventory.  Freedom Off-Road is located in Hanover and has a wide variety of automotive accessories for all makes and models. The company also offers installation of their accessories, including lift kits, wheels, tires, bed liners, and much more. You can find their information on Facebook at Freedom Offroad & Automotive Accessories.

The team has set three main goals in 2021: Results, Sustainability, and Physical Conditioning. Improving results overall with more wins and top-five finishes is a priority for the team. However, Moody feels to improve his results, he has to improve his time trials performance, which will be a large focus this season.

The focus on sustainability will put the team in a position to be competitive throughout the 90+ race schedule for 2021. While the team has put measures into place to achieve sustainability, accomplishing strong results will go hand-in-hand to achieve this goal.

Finally, physical conditioning will be a priority, not only for Moody as the driver of the No. 99M but also for the crew. While sidelined with his concussion this past year, Moody met with world-renowned physician Dr. Micky Collins. Dr. Collins stressed the importance of physical conditioning and mental stimulation to improve and prevent concussions. In addition to improving his physical condition, Moody has upgraded his safety equipment for the 2021 season. In the fast-paced world of sprint car racing, staying in good physical condition will also help keep the team alert and focused throughout the race weekend.

Kyle Moody on the 2020 season, restructuring the team for 2021, and continued support from sponsors:

“After the 2020 season, I knew I needed to make a change,” said Moody. “Our goal every year has been to grow the team to something bigger and better than the year before. We didn’t quite get to where we thought we would be in 2020. The great thing about this team is that we do what we need to do to survive. We survived the end of 2020 with what we had. It would’ve been really easy for us to call it quits, but we didn’t, and that’s exactly the mentality that built Moody Motorsports to what it is today.

“We’ve done a lot to restructure Moody Motorsports for the 2021 season, and I’m looking forward to seeing it all come together at the racetrack. With the new additions that we have to our inventory, safety equipment, personnel, and sponsor line-up, we’re moving in the right direction. Having goals and structure established headed into the season helps us focus on what we need to do at the racetrack.”

“We’re excited to have Credit Connection and Freedom Off-Road as a part of the team this year. Credit Connection has been a longtime supporter of racing in Central Pennsylvania, and it’s an honor that they want to join the Moody Motorsports team. Freedom Off-Road has renowed quality and professional service for vehicle customization and I’m excited to see what they can do to help grow our team..”

“In terms of sponsors, we’ve been fortunate to have sponsors that have been with us almost since the beginning. Companies like Dynatech Controls, Pigeon Hill Designs, Memtec Services, and Alloy Wheel Repair have been with us for many years. Some of our newer sponsors have even been with us for two or more years, such as Meckley Contracting Service, Drop of Ink Tattoo and Body Piercing, and Kint Beverage Concepts. To have the support of so many people means a lot, and it’s even better when they become more like family than sponsors.”

Fans can stay connected by following Moody Motorsports on Twitter (@MoodyMotorsport) and Facebook (Moody Motorsports). For official team news and merchandise, head to MoodyMotorsports.com.

Moody Motorsports would like to thank Dynatech Controls, Pigeon Hill Designs, Kint Beverage Concepts and Fire Protection, Memtec Services, Alloy Wheel Repair, Hampden Automotive, Meckley Contracting Service, Credit Connection, Drop of Ink Tattoo and Body Piercing, Capitol Tool, BC Creative Co., Freedom Off-Road, Champion Race Oil, Baldwin Brothers Racing, George’s Cleaners,Newman's Racing Engines, Don Ott Racing Engines, Rider Racing Engines, Bell Helmets, K1 Racegear, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, Kelly Racing Fuels, and DMI for their continued support.

Moody Motorsports Shows Consistency During 2020 Pennsylvania Speedweek

Lewisberry, Pa. (July 09, 2020) – This year’s Pennsylvania Speedweek is said to have produced some of the toughest fields in the history of the event with invaders such as Kyle Larson, Christopher Bell and Rico Abreu in attendance, as well as some of the best drivers in the country based right here in Pennsylvania. With nine races in just as many days, at six different tracks, the event produced an average car count of 38.4 throughout the week.

The Moody Motorsports team was just one of 18 teams that attended all nine events during Speedweek. Only nine of those drivers made every Speedweek feature event. Kyle Moody, driver and owner of the Moody Motorsports team, is one of three drivers that made eight of the nine shows. He finished 14th in the Pennsylvania Speedweek standings.

“This is the first year we’ve been able to run the entire Pennsylvania Speedweek,” said Moody. “We just missed making all nine shows, but given that we competed against the best of the best all week long and they knew that we were there, it is something that I’m really proud to have accomplished. Now we have good momentum going into the second half of the season.”

The Moody Motorsports team rolled out a special Salute the Troops t-shirt for the special event, with a portion of the proceeds going to Roots for Boots. 2019 Success Sparks High Expectations for Moody Motorsports in 2020

Lewisberry, Pa. (February 25, 2020) - With the start of the 2020 Pennsylvania Sprint Car season kicking off this weekend, the Moody Motorsports team has wrapped up its pre-season preparations. As the team looks ahead to the new season, they also reflect on last year's efforts to set new goals for 2020. The 2019 season had its challenges, but overall it proved to be a successful year for team owner and driver, Kyle Moody.

"One of our main goals at the start of each season is to do better than the season before," said Moody. "We achieved our goal in 2019 with two wins at Lincoln Speedway and earned a Top-10 spot in the Central Pennsylvania Sprint Car Series points for the first time. It sets some pretty high expectations for 2020."

Moody and the team know that staying competitive each year requires them to push themselves even harder in the off-season. From the close of the 2019 season, they went to work securing a plan to improve and increase inventory. As a result, the team will be more prepared to start the season than it has ever been.

"We were very fortunate to be in the situation where we could sell some of our used parts and replace them with new ones," said Moody. "We even secured a third engine which will help us get through our 80+ race schedule. When it's all said and done, we will have three complete chassis and three engines to start the season. When you step back and think of where this team has started, I'm proud of where we are today."

New and improved inventory isn't the only thing that has changed for the 2020 season. The team will welcome crew chief Aaron Long to its roster. Long brings invaluable experience and a unique perspective to the table as a former competitor in 358/360 and 410 sprint divisions in Central Pennsylvania. More recently, Long owns the No. 58 sprint car team, which has competed in select races within the two divisions. With a limited schedule in 2019, Long earned one 410 Sprint Car win and two 358/360 division wins as a car owner and crew chief.

Moody added, "We couldn't be more excited to get the season started with Aaron. Not only is he a great friend, but he proved to be a strong competitor, whether he was behind the wheel or turning the wrenches. He has jumped right in to help us in the shop as we built our cars for the season, and he brings a unique and fresh perspective to the team."

Moody acknowledges that the continued growth of the team wouldn't be possible without his sponsors. "I'm very fortunate to have sponsors that have been with me since day one, and some of our new sponsors that have stepped up in a big way," he continues. "Because of their loyalty, it allows us to go out there and do what we love each week. We're ready to prove to them, and our fans, that 2020 will be our most successful season yet."

In 2020, Moody Motorsports will add Champion Race Oil to its sponsor line-up. Champion Racing Oils are competition-proven to maximize horsepower in a wide range of race engine applications with high levels of anti-wear additives such as zinc, phosphorous and molybdenum. For more information on their products, visit www.championbrands.com.

Fans can stay connected with Moody and the team throughout the season by following Moody Motorsports on Twitter (@MoodyMotorsport) and Facebook (Moody Motorsport). For official team news and merchandise head to www.MoodyMotorsports.com.

Moody Motorsports would like to thank Dynatech Controls, Pigeon Hill Designs, RV 4 Wheel Drive and Performance, Kint Beverage Concepts and Fire Protection, Memtec Services, Alloy Wheel Repair, Hampden Automotive, Meckley Contracting Service, Drop of Ink Tattoo and Body Piercing, Champion Race Oil, George's Cleaners, Barber Designs, BC Creative Co., Newman's Racing Engines, AL Driveline Don Ott Racing Engines, Simpson, Rucker Computer Solutions, DMI and Leary Shock Technology for their continued support.
