Moody Motorsports Celebrates A Pair of Victories in 2019 Season
Lewisberry, Pa. (August 09, 2019) - Kyle Moody and the Moody Motorsports team celebrated their second win of the 2019 season this past weekend at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania. The win comes just three weeks after the team's first victory at the track on July 13. In both trips to Victory Lane, Moody drove his black, white and gold 20th-anniversary car to the top spot, commemorating his 20 years of racing.
Moody says the team isn't done yet, "It feels really good to be able to check our biggest goal of the season off of the list, but our next goal is to get three, four, five more wins this season. We want to be competing for the win every weekend. This team has worked incredibly hard all year long and I'm very proud that we have something to show for that. We've had an up-and-down season, plagued with mechanical issues, and to come out on the other side of it is pretty rewarding."
Of the 34 races that Moody Motorsports has competed in, the team has racked up two wins, six top-five and 17 top-10 finishes. He feels that the increased schedule has helped him to be more consistent on the track week in and week out.
"The last couple seasons we've really only raced one day a week," said Moody. "This year we're racing at least twice a week whenever we can. I definitely feel that I'm learning more this season. It's hard not to when you're racing against some of the best sprint car drivers in the country each week. I think it's helped my confidence in the car and in the tracks. I'm able to predict how the car will react to certain track conditions more now because I'm driving on them more often."
The Moody Motorsports team plans to compete in 25 more races this season, including the National Open at Williams Grove, The Tuscarora 50 at Port Royal Speedway and the Dirt Classic at Lincoln Speedway.
Moody acknowledges that his success this season would not be possible without the support of his family and dedicated sponsors, including the addition of five new sponsors this season. Leahy's Auto Body, RV 4 Wheel Drive and Performance Automotive, Meckley Contracting Service, Wessels Used Cars and Drop of Ink Tattoo and Body Piercing all made their first appearance in Victory Lane on the 99M.
"We've been really fortunate to work with so many great sponsors," said Moody. "To bring five new sponsors to Victory Lane and to be able to celebrate two wins with some of our long-standing partners is something that I'm really proud of. We're lucky to have sponsors that are invested in our team and come out to support us at the track whenever they can. Sponsors like Dynatech Controls, Pigeon Hill Designs, Memtec Services and ISSC Kanson Electrons have been with us for as long as I can remember and that really means a lot."
Moody Motorsports would like to thank Dynatech Controls, Pigeon Hill Designs, RV 4 Wheel Drive and Performance, Kint Beverage Concepts and Fire Protection, Memtec Services, Alloy Wheel Repair, ISSC Kanson Electronics, Hampden Automotive, Meckley Contracting Service, Wessels Used Cars, Drop of Ink Tattoo and Body Piercing, Leahy's Auto Body, George's Cleaners, Three Lane Creative, Barber Designs, Newman's Racing Engines, Simpson, Rucker Computer Solutions, DMI and Leary Shock Technology for their continued support.
